Role Summary
The Instructional Coordinator supports teachers in delivering high-quality lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum, ensures consistency in teaching standards, and contributes to student academic success through coaching, monitoring, and academic coordination.
Core Responsibilities
- Support teachers in planning lessons and implementing effective teaching strategies in line with the Cambridge curriculum
- Ensure consistency and quality of teaching practices across all classes
- Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to teachers
- Monitor student progress and support the implementation of improvement strategies
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional guidance to teachers
- Support the onboarding and development of new teachers
- Organize and facilitate professional development and training sessions
- Review assessments, reports, and student work to ensure quality and accuracy
- Ensure academic standards, policies, and deadlines are consistently met
- Support students requiring additional academic assistance or intervention
- Assist in developing and implementing student support or remedial plans
- Liaise with school leadership on academic matters and updates
- Support effective communication between teachers and school management
- Assist in preparing academic reports, data, and documentation
- Contribute to school improvement initiatives and academic programs
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and implementation of school events and academic-related activities
Qualification & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Curriculum Development or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience (international school experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of Cambridge or international curriculum frameworks
- Strong Instructional Design Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of Learning and Teaching Management Systems
- Proven ability in teacher support, coaching, and classroom observation
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- High level of professionalism and commitment to student-centered learning
